In tribute

This page is just for me more than anything else, a tribute to just a few of the amazing people in my life, who support me in all my craziness, are always there for me, and who I respect and love whole heartedly and without a shadow of a doubt. The inspire me as they do the world around them, they are dedicated and with a unshakeable faith that makes me look like one hell of a flake…. However I hope there is a day when they have the voice and the power to make the changes that need to be made to make this world a better place.

Am ever full of wonderment to be as lucky and blessed as I am to have these people be part of my life, and they are:

Jess Gunhammar

Has been studying for as long as I have known her. Despite the years of a students lifestyle and the hardship of London continues ever to strive in the face of it all to finish what she started. Current completing her PhD in Human rights, and is working on a Thesis of how the abuse of women in wartime effects society on the whole.

Jenn Gunhammar

Another tireless student who has a masters in Human rights and is currently studying and following her creative talent to become a photo journalist. Concentrating on the area of human rights abuse and all the other great things that she believes in.

Fiona Curnow

Been a friend through thick and thin, knows the very best as well as the very worst of me yet loves me enough not to care. We lost touch for almost 13 years, but glad to see she hasn't changed much and is doing and following her dreams as I had expected. She changing the face of the youth justice system in South Australia - always was a winner ;-)

Marga Janse

My old boss, who after finished working as Marketing Manager started on the road to fight HIV/ Aids and has spent the last 2 years working tirelessly in Zanzibar doing just that. Again much respect… for doing something I could I dream of having the courage to do. Website

Roberta Haynes

Has the most amazing life story of anyone I know, she's was an actress when it was the time to be an actress, started with and knew people like Marlon Brando. Lived and traveled the globe. Was one of the first women executives and fox… and still has the energy and zest for life that puts the rest of us to shame. An incredibly inspiring woman....

Chris Scott

A very silly silly boy that I admire solely for the fact that he has been working tirelessly on endless creative projects for years, and I so have my fingers crossed when he finally makes it to Hollywood he remembers little ole' mische. And I admire his ability to make me laugh no matter what no matter or where. Website

Griffin Arnold

Aka Joris van de Weerd.. Met on a sad day in Madeira, and to me is a person so full of light. Admire his outstanding audacity, and miss our mornings at starbucks chewing the fat over a frap'. Pretty amazing writer too I might add, am very curious as to what this big wide world has in store. And looking forward to hearing all about it soon over a coffee. Griffins Move - Griffions Inc

My Mamita… who works for indigenous schools in the outback of Australia, spend two years in the slums in India and a year or so working in Bolivia (and you wonder where I get my travel lust from) but these are all just side jobs as she's a pretty awesome artist who will one day be brave enough to give up everything else and just do that. Dennis Hooijmaijers


Better know to me as ‘kiddo' my bigger but younger - smarter than me kid brother (more mature too but don't tell him that). This boy dropped out of uni – enjoyed a pay packet and yet went back… Don't ask why. He's doing his PhD in Artificial Intelligence (don't ask me to explain it!), and am most proud of him as he worked and paid his own way through some very hard years and is still doing so. My hat off…..

My little booboo.... Yes am so sad to have a cat, but she's so cute. Roman from origin and also enjoyed an extended vacation in Sicily. Funny little chook - keeps me sane in all my insane moments. And such a little control freak she makes me seem easy going ;-)
